Mayert, Robert “Bob” Lloyd

Robert “Bob” Lloyd Mayert was born April 7, 1960 in Summerland, B.C. to Mary and Ernest Mayert. Bob passed away on November 17, 2018 at the age of 58.
Bob is survived by his loving partner of 24 years, Patti Wells; 4 children and 8 grandchildren: his eldest daughter Mary-Ann Mayert (Trevor Mossop) and her 2 children: Alexus and Austin Hicks; eldest son: Justin Ziegler (Kyrstin) and their 2 children Emaleigh and Riley Ziegler; youngest daughter Jennifer Mayert (Mitch Park) and their 2 children: Peyton and Colin Park; and youngest son Chad Ziegler (Ashley Zarr) and their 2 children: Xander and Chase Ziegler.
Bob was a great man of few words but when he spoke those words, you listened as you knew they were important. He lived life day by day and rolled with the punches which made him the great man and father he was. Bob loved fishing and camping with his family. He loved his kids and grandchildren, couldn’t wait to experience new things with them all. He loved to laugh and play with the kids. We have many wonderful memories that will never leave us and we will cherish every one of them. His hugs, “Squeeze you” as Bob would say, were big and you always felt so loved and at ease in them.
He will be missed more than words can say. We will see you again at the lake and catch you the big one – the trophy is yours this year, Dad. We love you, we miss you, you will never be forgotten.

Dear Mary-Ann & Jennifer, what a lovely tribute to your father. You couldn’t have said it more eloquently, Bob always rolled with punches, good or indifferent. Sorry to hear what happened to him, he was way to young to leave his family, please accept our heartfelt condolences.
