Hunt, Rhea “Lynne”

It is with great sadness that we need to announce the passing of Lynne Hunt, on June 28, 2018, at the Rocky Hospital; after a very courageous battle with multiple myeloma at the age of 66 years.

Lynne was born in Eckville, AB to parents Selma and Bernard Jarvis on December 13, 1951. It was on April 5, 1969, at the St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, in Eckville Lynne was married to Curtis “Wayne” Hunt. From that time on they have been working together. In 1970, they became parents to Wesley, 1971 along came Warren and not long after 1973 their last son was born Wendell. Lynne had her work cut out for her being a mom and wife. The family made a few moves around the province before making Rocky their final place to call home. In 1977, Wayne started up 4W Trucking, with Lynne managing the office, phones, the books; you name it, beside whatever else her boys needed. When her boys got into hockey, she became a Hockey mom, always rooting them on. Other activities at Lynne enjoyed were cooking, shopping, hanging out with her ladies group, decorating and holidays.

She is survived by her devoted husband Wayne, her much loved sons, Wesley, Warren and Wendall (Chelsea), and adored grandchildren, Jessie, Wriley ( Sabrina), Logan (Kaylan), Kaileigh, Tristan, Tarren and Jayden; and most precious 3 great grandchildren, Trey, Kaidynce and Nixon. As well as her sisters, their families, and Wayne’s family, will mourn her loss.

At Lynne’s request, there will be no funeral service held.

Cremation entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Lynne’s name to the Tom Baker Center, Calgary, AB.

Stacy Bardenhagen Ingham:
On behalf of Ryan, my mom (Mary Bardenhagen) and myself we are so very sorry for your loss. I last saw Lynne in the flower shop shortly after dad died and she shared lots of stories about mom and dad and her and Wayne. We both laughed until we cried. What a wonderful woman. Lots of love to Wayne, Wes, Warren and Wendell and your families.
Trent Lennie :

LaVerne Hunt Dykstra:
So many memories of our teenage years, all nighters, skipping school, dances, spending lunch hours at dad’s. Missing our comradeship after we all went our separate ways, only to see each other occasionally thru the last 50 years. I often think of her unique laugh!
Even though we didn’t spend much time together over the years, all thoughts, were lovingly held close. I am so grateful the pain has stopped and you are free to soar!
Lovenhugs to you, Wayne and your family.
