Obituary

Cheryl Violet OpdenDries (Morrish) went home to be with her Lord on February 1, 2019 at the age of 57 years. Cheryl was born on October 7th 1961 in Edmonton Alberta and grew up on in the Sleepy Valley District with her parents Reg and Phillis Morrish and big brother Rick. She loved life on the farm with all her family and animals including her pet calves, horses, sheep, dogs and cats. Cheryl graduated from Will Sinclair High School in 1979, and then worked at a few odd jobs until she carved out a 20 year career working in Early Childhood Development.
In 1991 she started dating Henry OpdenDries which eventually led to their marriage in 1992. Cheryl and Henry had two children, Aaron being the oldest followed by Crystal. Cheryl touched many lives on her earthly journey and will be missed by anyone she had contact with.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Henry, son Aaron and daughter Crystal (Gustavo) Valle, special grandson Axtyn OpdenDries, her brother Rick (Lani) Morrish, her mother in-law Johanna OpdenDries, brother and sister-in-law Swannie (Gerald) Datema, Dick (Joanne) OpdenDries, John (Judy) OpdenDries, Karl (Jane) OpdenDries, Irene (Mike) Manning, and Wayne (Lindsey) OpdenDries, as well as Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, numerous Nephews, Nieces, and friends.
Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, Reg and Phillis Morrish, Hank OpdenDries, and nephews Curtis OpdenDries, and Darren Datema.
The Family would like to thank the Drs and Nurses at the Rocky Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
A Memorial Service will be held for Cheryl at the Covenant Christian Reformed Church on Thursday February 7th at 1:30 PM. Rocky Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
