Obituary

Carrier, Louise Margaret Marie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Louise Margaret Marie Carrier. Louise was born April 10, 1953. She passed quite unexpectedly December 1, 2017.
Louise was survived by her four siblings, Rita (Del) Dillingham, Jean (Chuck) Vanderbyl, Marie (Jacques) Laprise, Terry (Teija) Carrier, along with numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
Louise also has four surviving children, Alison Sportak, Andrew Simard, Thomas Simard, and Timothy Simard. She will be missed by her many grandchildren, Ryan Mckerricher, Joseph Mckerricher, Jenna Sportak, Samuel Sportak, Hannah Simard, Dakota Simard, Emery Simard, and Jessa Simard.
Louise moved to Alberta several times over the years, and lived in many different places. She worked as a courier and travelled through many towns and cities surrounding Calgary. She made her home in Caroline, Alberta for the past 13, years, where she retired three years ago. She then focused on volunteering in her community at the local Library, which meant such a great deal to her.
She was predeceased by her loving parents Leo and Margaret Carrier.
Louise will be missed by many family and friends.

May she rest in peace.

A celebration of life will be held this coming spring in White Rock, B.C.

Condolences

Aunty Irene Loewen and Bill Loewen:
We were so very happy that we had spent some time visiting with Louise over the last few years. She enjoyed driving and met with us in Rocky for dinner while we waited for a rainy windstorm to stop, we were riding our trike. Went to the museum there and followed her back to Caroline to stay until the weather cleared. Met her friends at the library where Louise proudly showed us the renovations being done. Did the local shops and made us feel welcome. So glad we had this time. We must always live in the expectation that today is what we have, no promise for tomorrow. but plan for the future. Louise lived the way she wanted. So sorry for those she left behind, especially her children and family. May God bless you all and give you peace at this sad time. She was too young.
