Obituary

COURTRIGHT, BARBARA SUZANNE

With broken hearts we must announce the passing so loved daughter Barbara Suzanne Courtright on May 14th, 2018. After years of struggling with chronic pain Barbara passed away peacefully as her Guardian Angel took her from her home on the farm to God where she suffers no more.

Barbara was born in Pincher Creek AB in 1982. Being raised with the Daeley side of the family she attended elementary school in Southern Alberta. She was raised in Pincher Creek where she was very active and achieved her maximum swimming training and badges levels and courses to where she was stuck waiting until she was 16-18 to qualify to take her next level I think it was life guard. She was age 6. She loved to ski, camp, animals, nature and was super creative. She loved both people and animals and would go out of her way to help either one.

We moved to Rocky in 1996 where she attended Pioneer Middle School and Wil Sinclair High school, later also helping to build the new West Central High School. As an adult Barbara obtained many Industrial Safety Training and Certifications that dominated her resume and allowed her constant employment opportunities. Health complications limited her potential but not her will or spirit.

Barbara’s life took on most meaning for her with the birth of her son Dylon Curtis Courtight. She lived for her son and his existence saw her through many struggles. Dylon was the center of her life as she was so proud of him. She was active and involved with her son as he grew into a young man much taller than herself. She had an amazing persistence everything was recyclable and had potential. She could put together beautiful outfits for anyone who needed one from her vast love of clothes and creative styles. When she cooked she made large portions so there was always enough for everyone.

Barbara was predeceased by her Grandma Ann (Daeley) Starre; Grandpa Garry William Courtright; Uncle Danny Courtright; and son Justice Logan Lukenbil.

Barbara is survived by her son Dylon Curtis Courtright, her Mother Lori (Courtright) Bertagnolli, her Dad Barney Bertagnolli. Her Aunty Julie Courtright, Uncle Gordon Courtright, Uncle John Starre, Uncle Clark Starre. She is also survived by her Grandma Marlene Doreen Courtright who she loved Dearly. Through marriage Barbara is survived by her Grandma Marcella Bertagnolli; Uncle Laurie Bertagnolli; Gary (Shirley) Bertagnolli; Beverley (Stan) Chech.

Funeral Services for Barbara Suzanne Courtright will be help at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Rocky Mountain House Friday May 25th, 2018 at 10:30 am. A celebration of her life will be held at the Bertagnolli Farm afterwards. Funeral flowers received in the form of plants/perennials will be brought back to the farm and planted in her memory in her memorial garden.

Charitable Donations in memory of Barbara can please be made to the Rocky RCMP Detachment.
