Obituary

Alma Gertrude Hollingsworth
Alma Gertrude Hollingsworth of Rocky Mountain House passed away on April 24, 2018 at the age of 79 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Alma was born at Rocky Mountain House on October 18, 1938 to Tina and Earl Gray, the 7th of 8 children.
Alma was generous, social, compassionate and very determined. She was always one to put others first, and greet you with a smile.
Alma and Earl knew each other their whole lives, as they grew up in logging camps together. They started dating in 1953 and were married on May 11, 1956. A beautiful family followed not long after with the birth of Beverley on August 10, 1958, trailed by Bonnie on December 13, 1959 and completed with Dwight on November 26, 1961.
Alma worked various jobs including being a care aid for disabled, a sales associate for sears and most infamously co-owner and operator at Papa John’s Pizza. She had many passions including gardening, painting, playing bingo and spending quality time with those she loved.
Alma leaves to mourn in her passing, her loving husband Earl, and their three children: Beverley, Bonnie and Dwight and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Eric Gray and sister Carol Nuthof.
Alma was predeceased by her sisters; Eileen, Kathleen, Jean, Nellie and Mona.
