“As we wait for the blossoms to show the arrival of spring, a rose is blooming in God’s heavenly garden.”
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Rosebud Miriam Granlund on Monday April 16, 2018.
Rosebud was born on June 4, 1946 to parents Eino and Bertha Granlund. She was the youngest completing the family with her brothers Neil and Kenneth and sisters Helen and Joyce. She loved to read and attended school at Alhambra, David Thompson High School, then the University of Alberta.
She later returned to Alhambra to live with her mother for a while as well as Rocky Mountain House and Red Deer. For the past several years her home has been in Edmonton where at the time of her passing she lived at the Hardisty Care Center.
Rosebud loved to dress up for any occasion and is being remembered for her caring attitude for others.
Rosebud was predeceased by her parents Eino and Bertha, and her sister Joyce. She is survived by her brothers Neil (and Lorna) Granlund of Melfort SK, Kenneth (and Donna) Granlund of Edmonton AB, and Helen Whaley of Eckville AB, along with several nieces and nephews.
