Obituary

Morgan, Owen Evan
1958-2018

Owen Evan Morgan born Jan. 11th, 1958 of Rocky Mountain House tragically left this life October 6th, 2018.
He is survived by his loving wife Nola of 39 years, daughters Jenna Paul-Morgan, wife Jesse Morgan, grandchildren Autumn and Seth Paul, special daughter/niece Kendra Morgan-Braun, husband Shayne Braun and great uncle to Taylor & Kaydence Braun, mother Helen Morgan, sister Nancy Tolenon of Eckville, sister-in-law Heather Morgan, in laws Rhonda & Duncan Brown of Wetaskiwin, Julie Layden, Catherine Bolton, Chuck Bolton of Rocky Mountain House, Kim & Dan Fleming of Texas, the Gateway Family and lifelong family friends the "Hillbillies", numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Owen was preceded by their son Dusten, father Harold, brothers Mac, Ken and his wife Darlene Morgan, brothers-in-law Rodney Tolenon, Frank Layden, mother & father-in-law Audrey & Charlie Bolton and sister-in-law Cindy Bolton.
He was raised on the family farm south of town where the family still resides and is a precious gathering place for family and friends over the years.
Owen & Nola have touched so many lives in the community with 22 years of business through Gateway Sales & Service. He was instrumental in establishing Rocky Search & Rescue and the Rocky Mountain House Motor Cycle Club.
He could build anything, fix anything and make anything. He loved his family, camping, bikes, travelling, laughing and loved teaching his kids the right way to do things and he would lend a
hand whenever needed. He had the kindest smile and although we have many questions as to why, we encourage everyone to seek help when needed to prevent this from devastating another family.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Lou Soppit Community Center, Saturday October 13th at 2 pm. Coffee will be served afterwards. Cremation has been entrusted to Rocky Mountain Crematorium, Rocky Mountain House, AB.

In lieu of flowers, the memorial donations in Owen’s name may be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice, Box 283 Rocky Mountain House, AB T4T 1A3

Much love, peace and strength in the days ahead. My Uncle Owen helped me buy my first street bike and that made it eventful and I will charish it. He could draw you in with his smile and conversation of biking/quading stories and his work ethic was contagious as seen by all the family that came to work down by the river/ to make that special place even more magical for sharing great times together. He will be missed but not forgotten.
