Obituary

Duhamel, William (Bill) S.
William (Bill) S. Duhamel passed away peacefully on July 19, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Clearwater Centre, Rocky Mountain House.
Bill was born February 24, 1925 at Larchwood, Ontario. His family moved to Wetaskiwin, AB traveling by train then by covered wagon to Dunvegan, Alberta. When the family moved south they settled in Red Deer. Bill went overseas during the war and upon returning home he bought a farm, did some logging and carpentry work. Bill was a ‘Jack of all Trades’. Bill also enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent a lot of his time outdoors doing these thing. When Bill moved from the farm into town he first resided at the West View Lodge and then transferred to the Good Samaritan’s Clearwater Centre where he resided until his passing. Bill was a member of the Legion and the Pioneer Centre and volunteered at the museum. He enjoyed a good game of darts and crib with family and friends.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, five sisters and their spouses and one brother and sister-in-law.
Bill is survived by his brother Donald and his family.

Mr. Duhamel was a quiet shy gentleman. He was a veteran of war. He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him.. Rest In Peace and May your soul walk where the poppies grow
