Other Staff

  • Sarah Ellen Sterling Ketchum Girard - Secretary
I was born and raised in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. I moved away the year I graduated, met my first husband in Drayton Valley, got married and had my family. I worked in the hospitality industry for a number of years, running and managing different hotels and lounges around the province, before moving to Red Deer, in 1985, to further my education. I attended he Red Deer College and studied to become an Accountant. During this time I got divorced and met my now husband. Upon graduation I was offered a job with a non-profit organization, where I discovered my real talent was not being a bookkeeper, but was working with all the different community agencies to help create better programs for the less fortunate. I continued working with this non-profit for a number of years until moving back to Rocky Mountain House to help my siblings care for our ailing mother. I also cared for my brother during his short and courageous battle with cancer. After his passing I started working for Flinn Funeral Services Ltd. as the Secretary. I really enjoy my job and find it very interesting and challenging. I have been back in Rocky Mountain House for 8 years and have realized that this is truly home.
  • Jesse Flinn - Crematorium Operator
Jesse is Gordon's brother and has worked for Rocky Funeral Home since 2004. Jesse operates the crematorium. He has three children: Elizabeth, Sarah and Ted and two granddaughters. He enjoys most sports, going for drives and fishing. He worked in the oil patch for a few years doing wire lining and ten years hauling explosives.
